It began for Mary Margaret and I when we bought Diversified Supplies in Waynesville, NC, from Chris Connor in February 2002. 18 years and four mergers later, we have the best janitorial supply expertise of any company in our region.

Who We Are

Founded on family values and a commitment to quality, Champion Supply has been proudly serving Asheville, NC, and the surrounding Western North Carolina region for over two decades. Our story began in 2002 when we purchased Diversified Supplies, a small but growing business dedicated to providing reliable janitorial and restaurant supplies. What started as a family-driven endeavor soon grew into something much larger—thanks to a shared dedication to customer service, hard work, and community trust.In 2004, we took a major step forward by acquiring Champion Supply, a respected name in the industry with more than 30 years of experience. This move brought together a talented team of professionals, including industry veteran Bill Robinson, whose deep relationships and expertise have been instrumental to our continued success. That same year, we proudly consolidated operations at our current location on Piney Park Road, just off Smoky Park Highway in West Asheville, making it easier than ever to serve our growing customer base.

Today, Champion Supply is a trusted regional partner for businesses large and small—offering everything from commercial cleaning products and paper goods to restaurant supplies, equipment, and facility solutions. Under the leadership of our dedicated team, including longtime office manager Amy Russell, we remain committed to delivering exceptional value, personal service, and dependable products to every customer we serve.

2006

In 2006 we grew again with the purchase of Johnson Supply in Haywood County. And in 2007 we bought out both Carolina Wholesale in Spruce Pine and Carolina Distributors in Franklin. These additions strongly added to our regional business and brought on several employees to bolster our expertise across the board. Our best addition here was Tony Trivette who ran Carolina Wholesale in Spruce Pine and grew up in Boone. Tony continues to work in his back yard taking care of his neighbors as our sales consultant.

2010

In 2010 we added Paul Woodhouse who literally grew up in the business. The Woodhouses owned Standard Paper for generations and his grandfather Jack Woodhouse was once the President of ISSA, our industry’s association, and convention operation. Paul is using all he has learned in that bloodline to take care of customers in Asheville and the surrounding area. Our Inside Sales Manager is a native Floridian, Dawn Tabor, who moved to the Asheville area about 16 years ago and now resides in Haywood County. Dawn is in charge of ensuring that our significant investments in our operating systems, online catalog and purchasing systems provide maximum benefits to our customers.

2015

In 2015 we opened our expansion. We had to add inventory space for our growing business and while we were at it, we added a training room as well as an upgraded kitchen and bathrooms for our team’s comfort. Hopefully, you can hear the pep in their voices when you call!
